There is no statutory language regarding fees.
Effect
The arrest and court records are confidential and cannot be disseminated, except to a criminal justice agency. 15 M.R.S. § 2255. The person can chose not to disclose the record when asked by any party other than a criminal justice agency. 15 M.R.S. § 2256.
If a person is convicted of a subsequent offense, the confidential record becomes public. 15 M.R.S. § 2254(7).
